Noel Curry

On June 30, 2023, Noel Curry went home to his Heavenly Father. Loy Noel Curry was born November 28, 1932, in Fletcher, Oklahoma to James Beecher and Jennie Lee Curry. Noel & Anna met at the classroom pencil sharpener in 1945 and were married on November 18, 1950, beginning a 72-year love story. They moved from Oklahoma to southeast Arizona in 1952 in pursuit of farming opportunities which they found in the irrigated fields of the high desert Sulphur Springs Valley as they pioneered the early chili industry. They welcomed Helen in 1952, and Ed in 1956. Noel and Anna found joy in working hard, and playing hard, as a family. Noel and Anna spent their lives farming and raising cattle, fishing, playing dominos, raising their children, building relationships with their grandchildren, serving their community and church family, helping people in need, and most of all, loving God and each other. Throughout 72 years of marriage, Noel and Anna remained committed to loving, serving, cherishing, and enjoying one another. Their home was a place of comfort and peace; their kitchen table was always inviting for family and friends who needed a wise, kind, and encouraging word, a chili relleno, chocolate pie, or a game of dominos. He is survived by his loving wife Anna, his devoted children, Helen and Ed, and a full quiver of grateful grandchildren and great-grandchildren who aspire to carry on Noel and Anna's beautiful legacy of truly living the abundant life found in Christ. Funeral Services will be at 9:30 am on Tuesday, July 4, 2023, at Noel and Anna Curry home, 4467 N. Cochise Stronghold Road, Cochise, Arizona 85606 with a viewing starting at 9:00 am. Burial will follow at the Cochise Cemetery with a luncheon to follow the burial at the family home. Contributions may be made to the Noel and Anna Curry Scholarship Fund, c/o Curry Family, 4467 N.
