Cliff Hays

In Loving Memory of Henry Clifford Hays October 14, 1936 – August 25, 2026 Henry Clifford Hays, affectionately known to everyone as "Cliff," went to be with his Lord on August 25, 2026, at the age of 89. He passed away at his home in Klondyke, Arizona, with his devoted wife of 68 years, Patricia Kay, his daughter Cheri, and close friend Beth by his side helping care for him. A LIFE OF FAITH, LEARNING, AND LABOR Cliff was born on October 14, 1936, in Twin Falls, Idaho, to the late Henry Clifford Hays Sr. and Gertrude (Urie) Hays. He graduated high school from Auburn Academy in Auburn, Washington, before pursuing higher education. He attended Pacific Union College (PUC) in Napa, California, where he met the absolute love of his life, Patricia Kay Bull. The couple married on June 9, 1958, embarking on a beautiful 68-year journey together. Shortly after marrying, Cliff proudly served his country for two years in the United States Military, stationed at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio, Texas. Years later he continued his education, graduating from Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Arizona, with a Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Arts. Cliff was a multi-talented man of many trades. He spent many years working in furniture factories, shared his knowledge as a school teacher in Pima, Holbrook, and Sanders, Arizona, and channeled his artistry into his own pottery business called "Cliff's Dwelling." Later in life, he dedicated 12 years of service to Graham County as the Klondyke Road Grader Operator. A FRIENDLY SOUL WHO LOVED JESUS Cliff truly never knew a stranger. He loved nothing more than talking to people, offering an encouraging word, and was always willing to lend a helping hand or pray for anyone in need. Above all, Cliff loved Jesus, his wife, and his family. He found great peace in reading his Bible and going for long walks. FAMILY LEGACY He is survived by: His beloved wife, Patricia Kay (Bull) Hays His three daughters: Kendal Laree, Kerri Lynn, and Cherilea Janene His five grandchildren: Kirsten, April, Alexis, Jasmine, and Joshua His five great-grandchildren: Hayden, Judah, Silas, Michael David, and Ariel His four younger brothers: George, Don, Pat, and Bob His two younger sisters: Judy and Darlene Along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins He was preceded in death by: His parents, Henry Clifford Hays Sr. and Gertrude Urie His grandparents His two older sisters, Ilamay and Roberta Several beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, and nephew Special Acknowledgments: The family expresses their deepest, most grateful appreciation to Beth, Dave, Don, and Julie for their exceptional help during Cliff's final days. SERVICE INFORMATION A graveside service will be held at the Bell Family Cemetery in Bonita, Arizona, on Tuesday, September 1st at 10:00 am.
