Roberta "Bird" Sherwood

Roberta Lee (Mileham) Sherwood, 66, passed away on February 21, 2022, at her home in Phoenix, AZ. Her home was filled with her loving family and friends at the time of her passing. Roberta was born on December 6, 1955, to Robert and Virginia Mileham at St. Joseph's hospital in Phoenix, AZ. Roberta loved being a daughter, sister, wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, aunt, and loving friend. Roberta grew up on the beaches of Southern California before moving to Willcox AZ. In 1975 Roberta met the love of her life, Rodney Allen Sherwood and they were married on May 24, 1976. To this union Roberta and Rodney had three children, Deshell, Roseanna, and Robert Allan, along with three grandchildren, Jennalyn, Canyon, and Jacob Allan, and one great grandchild, Emily Rose. The City of Willcox was home and where they raised their family. Roberta spent her time raising her family and loved being a waitress at the Regal Restaurant and the Best Western Plaza Inn. Roberta's favorite time was with her early morning coffee regulars. Roberta's friendly and kind personality made it easy for everyone to fall in love with her. Roberta moved to Phoenix AZ., to be close to her children and grandchildren in 2018. Roberta is survived by her sister, Donna (Brent) Brewer of Willcox, AZ., daughters Deshell Mileham of Phoenix, AZ., Roseanna Sherwood of Mesa, AZ., and her son, Robert (Francisco Garcia) Sherwood of Phoenix, AZ., grandchildren, Jennalyn Klump of Safford, AZ., Canyon Klump of Phoenix, AZ., Jacob Allan Sherwood of Mesa, AZ., and great grandchild, Emily Rose Hogue of Safford, AZ. In addition, she was survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. Roberta is preceded in death by her parents, Robert (1986) and Virginia (2004) Mileham and her loving husband, Rodney Allen Sherwood (2003). A Memorial Service will be held on April 30, 2022, in Willcox, AZ., at the Willcox United Methodist Church located at 124 S. Curtis Ave, Willcox AZ., 85643. The service will be held at 11:00 am and will provide a lunch to follow in the church's hall. A private burial with family will take place at Sunset Cemetery, Willcox, AZ.
