Richard Ramon Marquez Jr., age 85, of San Simon & Willcox, passed away peacefully on August 9, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. A dedicated family man, Richard was known for his unwavering commitment to his family, farm and his community. Born on July 14, 1939, Richard lived a life defined by hard work, integrity, and kindness. For over six decades, he tended to his farm with the same passion and diligence he brought to every aspect of his life. His love for the land was matched only by his love for his family, who were the center of his world. Richard was not only a respected farmer but also a pillar of the San Simon and the Willcox community. His generosity and wisdom earned him the admiration and affection of many, and he was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. He was known for his warm smile, hearty laugh, and the stories he shared about the life he built. As a grandfather, Richard was unparalleled. His grandchildren cherished the time spent with him, whether working on the farm, listening to his stories, or simply enjoying his company. He leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and dedication that will continue to inspire his family for generations to come. Richard is survived by his beloved wife, Jessie Marquez; three children, Lola, Richard III (Cheryl), and Rosalie; and his cherished grandchildren, Geoffrey, Nicole, Richard IV (Alma), Tammy (Luis), Breanna (Anthony), Franchesca (Francisco), Joseph, Felicia (Chris), Vincent; and loving great-grandchildren Ayden, Dominick, Elijah, Alex, Julian, Aniyah, Richard V, Jordyn, Ely, Matthew , Riley, Noah and Khalessi. Also survived by his 11 siblings, cousins, and mourned by a wide circle of friends and neighbors who were touched by his kindness. He will be reunited with his beloved son (Stephan), Mother (Eulogia), Father (Ricardo), brother (Seferino). Richard will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered by all who knew him as the “Chili Man”. His love and devotion will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of his family and community. A Rosary will be offered at 6:00 pm on Thursday, August 15, 2024, at Westlawn Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 am on Friday, August 16, 2024, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with burial to follow in Sunset Cemetery,
