Marcelo Vazquez Guereque

Marcelo Vazquez Guereque of San Simon passed away in Safford on December 30, 2021, at the age of 87. He was born in Valle de Zaragoza, Chihuahua, Mexico on January 31, 1934, to Federico Vazquez Mesa and Dolores Vazquez Guereque. Marcelo did farm labor and was a mechanic. On June 5, 1965, in Delicias, Chihuahua, Mexico he married Guadalupe Valenzuela who survives him. He is also survived by his children Yolanda Suarez of Phoenix, Laura Hernandez, and Lorena Vazquez both of San Simon along with five grandchildren, five great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. His brother Ciro Vazquez of Delicias, Chih., Mexico also survives him. Preceding him in death was his daughter Ogla and his parents. A Rosary will be offered 7:00 pm on Tuesday, January 11, 2022, at Westlawn Chapel. Cremation will follow. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 am on Thursday, January 13, 2022, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help in San Simon. Interment of his cremains will be in Valle de Zaragoza, Chihuahua, Mexico.
