Vee A. Sanchez

Vee Ayala Sanchez Born to Francisco and Pastora Sanchez at the 76 Ranch, Graham County, July 19, 1915. Left in her sleep January 03, 2016 to be with her loving “ Tatita Dios” and all her loved ones that have preceded her. John 14:1 “ I go to prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you may be where I am.” A happy event she was ready for and looking forward to. Those preceding her in death: parents, Francisco and Pastora Sanchez, brothers , Jose, Lupe Sanchez, and Edward Sanchez, sisters, Amelia Guerrero, Pauline Rodriguez, and beloved nephew Danny Rodriguez. Survived by beloved son Dave (Billie) Sanchez, grandson David Lee Kaiser, granddaughter Cathy (Roy) Havner, great grandson Jared Havner, sisters: Louisa Whelan, Sarah (Howard) Adams, extended family, Patsy Sierra, Eleanor (Kevin) Toupin, Diane Puntpenny, Harry and Mike Myers. Vee loved to read her bible and was God’s prayer warrior here on earth. Devoted mother, grand/great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She was a beautiful human being, gracious and kind who gave so much of herself and never expected anything in return. The doors of her home were always open to all her family, friends and strangers. She brightened each and every soul she encountered with her radiant smile, laughter and witty sense of humor. Vee loved and was proud of “her town” Willcox. She made everyone she met aware she was from “Willcox”. Knew the history of Willcox and its people, plus surrounding areas where the well-known Ayala cowboys and their families worked and resided. She also worked at the Duncan Hotel where she met many well known cattleman that stayed there. It would take a whole newspaper to tell all her family, friends and employer stories. Vee was honored during the 90th anniversary of Willcox’s incorporation. She was also honored to have been chosen the first 2009 Rex Allen Days Queen from the Northern Cochise County Hospital Nursing Home. Vee was also known for her volunteer work with the Red Cross during WW II, made bandages for the armed forces, also did volunteer work for the Willcox Community Food Bank and Migrant Opportunity Program. A woman of simple elegance will always live in the hearts of her family and friends. What a beautiful difference one single life made! We will miss her blessings for all which was, “God bless you and keep all under his care.” God blessed us with Vee. A rosary will be offered at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, January 12, 2016 at Westlawn Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 12 noon at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Sunset Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the Community Food Bank. Services entrusted to Westlawn Chapel, Mortuary and Crematory of Willcox, Arizona.
