Rose Mary Robbs

Rose Mary Robbs passed away on Thursday, January 15, 2026, at the age of 94. She was born on May 27, 1931, in Perryton, the Panhandle of Texas. She had twin sisters, Ruth and Ruby, who were 1 1/2 years younger than her. Their parents were Waldo and Bertha Tarbox of Spearman, Texas. They were survivors of the Dustbowl and the Great Depression. She graduated from West Texas A&M in Canyon, Texas with a teaching credential and taught Junior High English in Plainview. She and Floyd Robbs married July 11, 1953. They moved to Willcox, AZ in 1955. Floyd started farming in the Kansas Settlement area and Rose Mary started being a homemaker, seamstress, and civic volunteer. Her first son Alan was born in 1956, and Steven came along in 1961. She is survived by Alan Robbs and his wife, Kathy, of Willcox. She also had three grandsons: Nick (Heather) Robbs of Sonoita, Zack (Sarah) Robbs of Dos Cabezas, and Joram (Montiqua) Robbs of Deming, NM. She also had nine Great Grandchildren: Tucker, Colton, Wyatt, Ellie-Rose, Levi, Grayson, Adalynn, Healan and Sloan. During her life she volunteered for many organizations. In her early years she was a den mother for Cub Scouts and was a member of the Willcox Women’s Club. In 1970 she served as the Grand Worthy Matron for the Eastern Star. She served as President of the Cowbells. She was an active member of Lambda Chi Omega Sorority. She and Floyd had been long time members of the Willcox United Methodist Church. She enjoyed cooking and entertaining people at her house in Dos Cabezas. She hosted many parties and was always a gracious host. Her family always enjoyed her home and loving nature. She is loved and will be missed by all dearly. A memorial service will be held Friday, February 27th at the Willcox United Methodist Church at 11am. Graveside service will be at Robbs Family Cemetery in Kansas Settlement following the service. Obituary for Steven Robbs Steven passed away on June 2, 2025, at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center. He was born on August 29,1961 in Willcox, AZ. He is survived by his brother Alan (Kathy) Robbs of Willcox. Steven graduated from Willcox High class of 79. He went on to the U of A and received a BS in Chemistry. During the mid 80’s he joined the Peace Corps and taught Jr. High Science in Cameroon, Africa. After completing his service there, he came back to the U of A to earn his MA degree. After graduating he got a job at a Palm Research Center in Fla. When that job was done, he decided to go back to school at LSU in Baton Rouge, LA. There he worked on his doctorate degree and enjoyed Mardi Gras. Upon completion of his college career, he landed a job at the FDA and worked there for 20 years from 2001-2021. He was enjoying his retirement in Long Beach by traveling, surfing, art projects and his horticultural interests. A joint memorial service is planned for him and his mom on February 27, 2026, at the Willcox United Methodist Church.
