Gregory Joseph Miller

Gregory Joseph Miller, 51, follower of Christ, unexpectedly transitioned from his earthly frame to meet his Savior face to face on Sunday, April 2, 2017. Greg was born to Charles Sr. and Frances Miller in Baltimore, MD on June 13, 1965 as the youngest of nine children. As a young man, God sovereignly opened his eyes to sin, righteousness and the judgment to come. He understood that he was a sinner, living his life in rebellion to God's commands, when God granted him repentance and faith to believe in the saving work of Jesus on the cross. He gave his life to Christ, resting in His substitutionary atonement to grant himself peace with God. After that day, his sole mission was to seek God and keep His commandments. He did that faithfully until the very end. A pastor for several years, Greg always had a heart for people. God used him to influence and impact the lives of people all over the country. Ministering in four states there are countless individuals who owe him a great debt of gratitude. In 2003, he received his bachelor's degree in Pastoral Theology from Crown College of the Bible, in Powell, TN. A devoted husband, he married Shari Lynn Arnold on September 11, 1988. Greg and Shari raised their four children with love, patience and humility. He worked hard to instill in them a love of God, love of the Scriptures and a love of their fellow man. He taught them through example to be diligent and to work hard. His children remember him as a man who sought God diligently, obeyed Him passionately and was willing to leave houses, businesses and positions to serve Christ. Greg is survived by his wife Shari; his sons William, Bryce and Josiah; his daughter Kayli Bohn; his grandchildren Nehemiah Courage Miller, Hannah Promise Miller, Malachi Vision Miller, Uriah Honor Miller, Enoch Steadfast Miller, Cayden Alan Miller, Carsen Bryce Miller, Jayden Alexander Bohn and a baby girl Bohn due any day. He is also survived by his parents Charles Sr. and Frances; his brothers Charles Jr. Michael, Mark and Larry; his sisters Sue Miller, Nell Kline, Teresa Mosher and Cecelia Balderson; and numerous cousins, nephews and nieces. There will be a funeral service at Village Meadows Baptist Church in Sierra Vista, AZ at 11:00am on Tuesday, April 11, 2017. Viewing from 9:00am to 11:00am. Burial to follow the service at Cochise Memory Gardens in Sierra Vista, AZ. Greg's son, William Miller, will officiate the service.
