Mina Detrick

Mina Louella (Hurley) Detrick was called home on December 24, 2014 to reunite with her husband, sons, parents, siblings and grandchildren. Mina was pre-deceased in 1987 by her husband, Britton Forrest Detrick. She was also pre-deceased by her sons, Randall Craig Detrick and Wilton "Billy" Jon Detrick; two granddaughters, Britta Sue Evans and Donna Lee (Evans) Guthrie; her parents, Grant Fry Hurley and Alice Louise (Callender) Hurley; three brothers, Frederick John Hurley, Lloyd Grant Hurley and Kenneth Lehman Hurley; three sisters, Pauline Viola Hurley, Della Mae Hurley and Lois Mary (Hurley) Barkley. Mina is survived by her daughter, Deanna (Beamer) Evans and her son-in-law, Duane Evans of Sunsites, AZ, a step-son, Britton F. Detrick (Marie) of Germansville, PA; her sisters, Phyllis (Hurley) Cobb of Stroudsburg, PA and Ellen (Hurley) Lehman of Newville, PA. She is survived by grandchildren, Julie (Noack) Smith of Stroudsburg, PA, Shari (Evans) Nelligan (AL) of Norfolk, VA, Daniel Evans (Roxanna) of Cochise, AZ, Kimberly Cramer of Kresgeville, PA, Rodney Detrick (Nicole) of Wind Gap, PA, Randy Detrick (Tiffany) of Saylorsburg, PA, Britton Detrick (Amanda) of E. Stroudsburg, PA and Harley Detrick (Lavonia) of Philadelphia, PA. Mina is also survived by great-grandchildren, Jeremiah Smith, Shane Smith, Nathaniel Smith, Kaitlyn(Simmons) Hester, Nikole Simmons, Jared Evans, Justin Evans (Becky), Janet (Evans) Freeman (Jacob), Jamie Nelligan, Shane Nelligan, Keleigh Nelligan, Aisha Cramer, Alek Cramer, Sydney Sterner, Shane Sterner, Daniel Detrick, Nicholas Detrick, Tenzin Detrick and Maggie Detrick. Mina is survived by 21 great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Mina was born and raised in the Newville, PA area and moved to Stroudsburg, PA in 1950. She moved to Sunsites, AZ in 2004 to be near her daughter and son-in-law. For several years, Mina was a member of the Lutheran Church in Willcox, AZ. For the past several years she had been a member of the Sunsites Community Church in Sunsites, AZ. Mina did not wish to have a viewing or funeral service. Her cremains will be interred beside the graves of her husband and sons in Kellersville, PA at a later date. There will be a brief grave-side service at that time.
